*SECOND TERM NEWSLETTER*
*2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION*

*Our Dear Esteemed Parents,*

With hearts brimming with joy and profound gratitude, we extend our warmest greetings to all our highly respected parents. We give all glory to God Almighty for His faithfulness in seeing us through the Second Term of the 2025/2026 Academic Session. For the precious gift of life, sound health, and the grace to execute our academic and co-curricular programmes without hindrance, we are indeed deeply grateful.

The successes recorded this term would not have been possible without your steadfast support, encouragement, and unwavering commitment. We duly acknowledge and sincerely appreciate the invaluable role you played. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude.

At Trainfield College, we remain resolutely committed to ensuring that the holistic development of your children is not only attained but consistently sustained. We celebrate our members of staff for their professionalism, diligence, and sacrificial dedication to nurturing our students in both character and learning. To our students, we applaud your resilience, discipline, and commendable work ethic throughout the term.

Foremost among our priorities is the delivery of educational best practices within an environment that fosters excellence. Of this, we assure you, our esteemed parents.

*ACADEMICS*
The Second Term of the 2025/2026 Academic Session commenced on Monday, 12th January 2026. Since then, the term has been characterised by robust academic engagement and vibrant co-curricular activities. We are pleased to report that students’ academic performances have been outstanding, as clearly reflected in their Continuous Assessment records. Equally, participation and achievement in co-curricular programmes have been excellent. These outcomes are a testament to the diligence and commitment of our students.

We earnestly implore you, our parents, not to relent in your efforts at home. Kindly continue to encourage your child or children to cultivate a disciplined study culture. Be assured of our unrelenting commitment to academic and moral excellence.

*SPECIAL EVENTS HELD*
The term featured several significant events that enriched school life:
- Parents Teachers Forum
- Open Day
- Teachers Day
- 7th Biennial Inter-House Sports Competition

*WASSCE/NECO/BECE EXAMINATIONS*
Registration for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination has been successfully concluded, and all our eligible candidates have been duly registered. Registration for the National Examinations Council and Basic Education Certificate Examination is currently ongoing. In preparation for these pivotal examinations, the school has instituted intensive and comprehensive extension classes for our JSS3 and SS3 students. We extend our best wishes to all candidates and are confident of excellent outcomes.

*UNIFORMS*
The Trainfield College uniform is a symbol of our identity and a mark of discipline. In keeping with our standards and quality assurance framework, every student is expected to appear neat and properly dressed at all times. We therefore appeal to parents to make deliberate efforts to procure at least two sets of uniforms for their child or children at the commencement of each academic year.

We request that parents of returning students carefully inspect their child’s or ward’s uniforms and promptly replace any items that are faded, tattered, or torn. Undersized shorts, skirts, pinafores, or trousers are not acceptable, as children grow rapidly and often outgrow their garments.

The approved school shoes are plain black covered shoes without heels. White canvas shoes are to be worn exclusively on sports days. The approved socks are plain white and are available in the school store. Only small stud earrings are permitted for female students, and male students are required to maintain neat, low haircuts.

*OPEN DAY*
The Second Term Open Day for the 2025/2026 Academic Session was held on Thursday, 12th February 2026. Although parental turnout was lower than anticipated, we wish to reiterate that our doors remain open. You are welcome to request an audience with any member of the management team: the Executive Director, the Principal, the Vice Principals, or the Head Teacher.

*STUDENTS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE*
The benchmark at Trainfield College remains 100 percent. We assure our esteemed parents that all necessary parameters for achieving this standard are firmly in place. We enjoin every parent to continue to partner with us, as this collaboration enables us to serve you more effectively.

*DISCIPLINE*
We have sustained a commendably disciplined atmosphere this term. Over the years, we have observed significant improvement in students’ conduct, which we attribute to the support of parents who, in partnership with the school, have instilled sound moral values in their children. We sincerely appeal to our esteemed parents to sustain this laudable practice at home. On our part, we shall continue to counsel students and correct unacceptable behaviour as we collectively raise responsible Nigerian citizens.

*PUNCTUALITY*
We commend parents for the slight but noticeable improvement in punctuality this term. Nevertheless, our expectations remain high, as punctuality constitutes an integral part of the character development we instill in Trainfield scholars.

The official resumption time is 7:30 a.m. All students are expected to be present in school by 7:35 a.m. daily. We solicit your cooperation in ensuring punctuality, as lateness is universally regarded as an act of indiscipline.

Consequently, the policy of locking the school gate after 8:00 a.m. will be strictly enforced. Parents of latecomers will be required to sign in their wards. Where lateness becomes habitual, the parents concerned shall be invited to a conference with the school management team.

*INTRODUCTION OF CHINESE LANGUAGE*
We are pleased to inform our dear parents that the Chinese language has been added to the suite of foreign languages offered at Trainfield College. In an era where China leads globally in technology, science, innovation, and creativity, proficiency in Chinese will create invaluable opportunities for our students upon graduation, enabling them to integrate seamlessly into the global system without communication barriers.

While the standard cost of this programme is ?100,000 per student, the school management has graciously decided to subsidise the fee in order to make it accessible to all our students. This is a rare opportunity, and we strongly advise all our highly respected parents to enrol their children.

*NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE SCHOOL*

- Re-equipping of the Physics Laboratory
- Re-equipping of the Biology Laboratory

We express profound appreciation to all our highly respected parents who sacrificed time, donated resources, and took part in various events. Your commitment was evident and is deeply appreciated. May God bless you immensely.

*DISRUPTION OF CLASSES BY PARENTS*
In accordance with school policy, parents are not permitted to enter classrooms except on special occasions expressly approved by the school authority. We therefore advise parents to ensure that students come to school with their lunch packs. Your cooperation enables us to serve you better.

Furthermore, we request that parents wait in the school hall when collecting their wards at closing time. Members of staff will always be available to attend to you promptly.

*MOBILE PHONES AND RELATED DEVICES*
Parents are hereby reminded that students are not permitted to bring mobile phones or related electronic devices to school. Such items constitute a major source of distraction and will be confiscated by the school authority if found.

*SCHOOL FEES*
In compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria cashless policy, payment of fees may be made through the following channels:
a. Bank transfer
b. Direct instant payment via your bank’s platform

Kindly ensure that your child’s or children’s names and classes are clearly indicated for easy identification. We appeal to all parents to settle Third Term school fees on or before the resumption date to enable us to serve you better.

*The due date for payment of Third Term 2025/2026 school fees is Monday, 4th May 2026.* We express gratitude to parents who have already fulfilled this obligation. Please note that defaulters will not be granted access to the school premises on resumption day.

*THIRD TERM RESUMPTION*
The school will resume for the Third Term of the 2025/2026 Academic Session on *Monday, 4th May 2026*. Parents are kindly requested to take note and ensure that their child or ward returns to school on the stated date. Absence on resumption day results in missed lessons, as academic activities commence immediately.

*GRATITUDE*
We return all glory to God Almighty for His abiding goodness upon the Trainfield family. We thank our esteemed parents for your trust and confidence in us. We reaffirm our commitment to upholding best educational practices for the advancement of our students. We also applaud our students and staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the term.
