Highlights of Trainfield College PTF meeting held on the 19th Nov. 2019.
1. Trainfield College Management thanked and appreciated all Parents for their support and also urged Parents that have not paid their Children school fees to do that urgently for their Children not to miss the mid term assessment/test.
2. Parents thanked Trainfield Chairman/Management for the successful funding and sponsored the recent Trainfield Schools excursion/seminar held at Ikoyi Club. It was a wonderful outing, knowledge impacting and great exposure for our Children. Parents also encouraged the School Management to engaged the Students in Literary/Debating/Press Clubs.
3. Parents were advised to key into the E- learning system by making judicious use of the modern learning facilities available in the School.
4. Despite the poor BECE results all over Lagos State, Trainfield College recorded a great success as all the students that participated in the last BECE came out in flying colours.ðŸ‘
5. Parents unanimously agreed with Trainfield Management to have some designated bus stops where Students/Pupils would be picked to School and Parents would also pick the Children from same place as the School bus may not be able to go to certain areas this period due to bad roads. Trainfield College Management thanked Parents for their understanding.
6. As a result of security challenges, Trainfield pro actively introduced the sign in and sign out system. This would checkmate those Children who always leave School for other activities without their Parents knowledge.
7. Parents unanimously agreed that discipline must be effected in Trainfield hence late commers, unruly behaviours etc would no longer be entertained. Again, Teacher using abusive words on Students were advised to desist from such duct acts as nobody would be spared.
8. Hostel facilities: Trainfield Management mandated 2019/20 SS3 and other Parents to meet with a Catering services professional to enable them decide what each Student would pay for Hostel accommodation while taking cognisance of few logistics as the case might be.
9. Parents and School Management could not hide their unpleasant feelings on the inability of Parents to attend PTF meeting where issues concerning their Children are discussed and decided. In the light of the about, Trainfield Nanagement urged our esteemed Parents to always attend PTF meeting while the time for the meeting would be strictly adhered to as "African time" wound no longer be entertained.
9. As a result of the growing students population in JSS1 which is very encouraging, Parents and Trainfield Management have agreed that JSS1 class (33 Students) would be splited into two classes while Parents were encouraged to talk to their neighbours, friends, relatives, Church members to canvass for more Students to join Tainfield School particularly JSS1 to increase their numbers which wound make the expected two classes in JSS1 much more reasonable, Trainfield Management had agreed to do the needful.
10. The PTF EXCO having served the mandatory term, was applauded for their selfless services. The EXCO was dissolved based on motions moved and seconded accordingly and in line with Trainfield Schools customs and tradition. Election was held and the following emerged as the new Trainfield PTF EXCO.
1. Pastor Odubena- Chairman
2. Mrs. Idiaghe- 1st Vice Chairman
3. Mr. Ikemefuna- 2nd Vice Chairman
4. Mr. Osadolor- PRO
5. Mr. Oma Imishue
6. The Head of English Teacher would serve as the Secretary.
AOB: The new PTF EXCO Chairman thanked Parents and Trainfield Management for their support to the last EXCO and also urged Parents to support this new EXCO by working as Team to move the School forward.
